I shall be at the catwalk show on Thursday, so I'll hopefully get some good shots. I'm also excited about seeing some of the design students work.
Anyhow, below are some of the exciting things on offer should you be about this week.
Dublin Fashion Festival Model Search
The Dublin Fashion Festival has joined forces with 1st Option Model Management to seek out the country’s hottest new model. As part of the already brimming festival programme, the model search will take place on Friday, 9th September between 2.30 and 5.30 in the Dublin Fashion Festival HQ in the old Waterstones building on Dawson Street. There, model hopefuls can meet with the industry-expert judging panel to see if they can make the cut to be Ireland’s freshest face in fashion.
Prizes are: a three-year modelling contract with 1st Option Model Management, a front cover photo shoot for The Dubliner Magazine, jewellery worth €600 from top jewellers Pandora and an A-Wear goody bag.
The competition is open to females only, ages 14 to 21. It is advised to come along with a natural make-up look, an outfit that flatters your figure and to wear stilettos and a handbag.

Young Designer Celebration
A sneak preview of some of Ireland's up & coming fashion designers. Fashion HQ in the old Waterstones Building on Dawson St will provide a home for some of the names that will be on everyone's lips in the coming years.
Vintage Pop-up Shops
Again, in the Fashion HQ on Dawson Street - well worth a look and with lots of already well-known vintage shops offering their wares. Dammit, and I said i'd be leaving my wallet at home!!
Vogue Fashion Night Out
This has taken place in London & New York to name a few. For this first time this year we will also being seeing Vogue's Fashion Night Out taking place in Dublin as part of the Festival of Fashion. Taking place in luxurious Brown Thomas (where else?!) you can become a Vogue Cover Star, get pampered, inspired, check out some Irish designers and forget your worries at the fashion cafe and catwalks.

Style School - LA Makeup & "Get The Look" Sessions
Taking place at various times over the weekend in the Fashion HQ building, get advise from Sarah Jane Wai O'Flynn from LA Makeup Academy. I've been to one of Sarah Jane's make-up demo's and she is a complete pro. Not only has she got great tips for makeup, but she's also a really funny and easily approachable person, so if you've got some burning makeup questions that you've been too scared to ask, now's your chance!!
