I will be heading along to it myself and I hope you guys can too.
Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire
Sunday 17th April Noon - 6.30pm
A showcase for established and new businesses from around Ireland focused on vintage fashion and retro decor.
The Dublin Vintage Fashion and Decor Fair is returning to the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire on 17th April. It will be showcasing independent businesses from around Ireland specialising in vintage clothing, memorabilia and decor. There will be an opportunity to see and buy from over forty retailers specialising in all that is glamourous from our past.
Over the past years, a number of Irish women have turned the economic disaster of redundancy into an opportunity which has given them the incentive to turn a private passion into a viable business. Among the entrepreneurs of the Celtic bust taking part in the Vintage Fashion and Decor Fair is Sinead Lee of Hems and Gems, a new vintage shop in Gorey, Co. Wexford. Made redundant in 2009 after nine years as a buyer for a bathroom company, Sinead took time out to have a son, Oliver, and to have a good think about the future. Rather than jumping back into a depressed job market, she decided now was the time to indulge her passion, and turned her expertise in purchasing to the area of vintage fashion. You can view her selection of well priced vintage and revamped clothing at the Vintage Fashion and Decor Fair in the Royal Marine Hotel on Sunday 17th April, and in her fun and quirky shop in the Indoor Market, Gorey.
